The Last Word Festival: The Talk Show at The Albany

From to

About

This is a comedy/theatre/spoken word show about talking. It is suitable for people who talk, have talked, it is also suitable for people who want to talk. Since 2012 Rob Auton has written a show a year on a specific subject. The shows have been an hour long. They've explored subjects Rob wants to have a closer look at through writing and performing. In 2012 it was the colour yellow and the show was called The Yellow Show. In 2013 it was the sky and the show was called The Sky Show. In 2014 it was faces and the show was called The Face Show. In 2015 it was water and the show was called The Water Show. In 2016 it was sleep and the show was called The Sleep Show. In 2017 it was hair and the show was called The Hair Show. In 2018 it is talking and the show is called The Talk Show. 'A genuine original. Poetical, philosophical, humane, completely charming and funny to boot.' The Guardian 'Charming, eccentric and uplifting, Auton is a talent to watch.' The Independent 'He is entirely compelling to watch. He's a poet/writer/talker and it's funny in parts but that's not the point - there is something else happening, I'm not entirely sure what it is but it's great and it wallops you in the belly.' Daniel Kitson
