PalFest, in association with Artists for Palestine UK, hosts an afternoon and evening of music, food, film and literature celebrating Palestinian culture. Bringing together writers from all corners of the globe, PalFest (the Palestine Festival of Literature) has for more than a decade illuminated the strength of Palestinian culture, and the resilience of its responses to occupation. A packed programme of readings and performance will support the attempt to break the cultural siege imposed by the Israeli military occupation of Palestine, and affirm, in the words of Edward Said, 'the power of culture over the culture of power'.
