British-Brazilian choreographer Jean Abreu has spent half his life in Brazil and the other half in Britain. Solo for Two explores his dual identity, formed in between different cultures and dance languages. read less Two dancers, a man and a woman, two sides of the same coin, are caught in a struggle to find their place in the world. In an interactive environment, a little robot called 'Macheba' both interacts with and observes the dancers, mirroring and absorbing our human identities. Solo for Two is a Southbank Centre and Horniman Museum co-commission, made in collaboration with Guy Cools and supported by Arts Council England, the University of Bath, Bath Spa University, South East Dance and Threshold Studios.
