'New Dawn' and 'Suffragette' Talks Every Thursday morning throughout the year, join our Visitor Assistants on two free talks in Westminster Hall. 10.30 am: 'New Dawn' This focuses on the contemporary light sculpture by Mary Branson, which was revealed exactly 150 years to the day since the campaign for women's votes began, and which celebrates all the individuals involved. 11.30 am: 'Suffragettes' Our Visitor Assistants highlight the militant campaign conducted by members of the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU - motto 'Deeds not words') and the Women's Freedom League (WFL), and how their actions impacted Parliament.
