Storytelling and music combine in this contemporary sci-fi fairy tale inspired by H.G Wells' 1895 novella The Time Machine. Musician and theatre-maker Dom Coyote takes us on a joyous journey through time with a wakeup call to stop our chaotic present becoming a dystopian future. Since he was a boy, the eponymous protagonist Dom has been receiving messages - solitary fragments of a voice echoing through time and space. His Grandfather's incredible recordings are the only remaining connection Dom has to his favourite relative, who died mysteriously at sea. Sifting through the recordings, Dom unknowingly discovers the key to time travel. Armed with a home-made time machine, Dom returns to the day his Grandfather is lost and finds himself in the future witnessing the last days of sunlight. Dom Coyote's work includes composing and performing for Old Vic, Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre, Art Angel, Cirque Bijou and Battersea Arts Centre. He is an Associate Artist with Kneehigh Theatre and Musical Director of Bristol based Extraordinary Bodies.
