In 2017, three musicians wondered what they could do to help bring new artists into view of music fans in the UK. From studying at one of London's top music universities, they looked at their peers who were filled with such talent, passion and drive, and wanted to bring upon an event where these artists could be seen and heard. On March 24th, 2018, a concoction of pop, R&B, rap and rock will burst onto the stages at The Thirsty Scholar and 229 in Great Portland Street. Running in conjunction with Help Musicians UK, this festival hopes to bring support to upcoming acts trying to break into a difficult industry. Each artist has been hand picked by the team as something fresh and exciting. They are acts that the team really love. Our line up consists of artists who are already making waves in the music industry, appearing on BBC Introducing, BBC radio London, BBC radio 6, Represent Radio, NME, BBC 1's All Together Now, ITV's This Morning, performing at O2 venues, Sofar Sounds events and more. This is an event by music lovers, for music lovers, and not one to be missed! "I am passionate about bringing great new music to the stage and making sure that the artistic voice of our generation is heard," said Connor Jones of Thirsty Scholar Festival "I love all music ranging from metal to Japanese pop and everything in between, so you'll find an eclectic mix of the best talent in London across our two stages," said Jessica Moore of Thirsty Scholar Festival. "I'm so excited to be part of the Thirsty Scholar Fest, I think its so important for up and coming musicians to be seen and heard, and have the chance to reach out to new audiences! TSF is definitely giving new artists a fun and new platform to strive on!" said Dakota Sixx, Artist.
