Borodin Quartet Few chamber ensembles achieve legendary status. The Borodin Quartet, founded in 1945 and closely associated with Shostakovich, is truly legendary in the classical music world. Its programme moves from Haydn to Borodin by way of Wolf's delightful Italian Serenade.
