Ashley Henry - a 26-year-old pianist from south London - is one of a new generation of musicians that have been raised with a wide range of influences; clearly influenced by hip hop but who have their roots firmly in jazz - his listening and visual styles range from Sinead Harnett and Digital Underground to ZuZu and Margot Fonteyn. Heading up last year's 'Emerging' and 'Breakthrough Artist' lists for Fader Magazine and Jazz FM, and having recorded extensively with award-winning hip hop group The Mouse Outfit, this is your chance to catch him whilst he's super-hot. 'Henry does a mean acoustic version of the Nas single 'The World Is Yours', paying tribute to Ahmad Jamal's hypnotic chromaticism but also creating his own static, riff-based, sample-friendly grooves.' (Guardian) Support comes from Anoushka Lucas Described as a 'rich, natural talent' by Neil Cowley, she has sold out nights at Bush Hall and featured at the Love Supreme Festival with her warm and magnetic stage shows. She has been recording her debut album with Martin Terefe at Kensaltown Studios and her first single from this album - 'Dark Soul' - was released as a single in September 2017 with its first performance came on Radio 2's BBC Introducing courtesy of an invitation from Jamie Cullum. A second single 'Water Under The Bridge' was released in February 2018.
