Rod Picott at The Old Queen's Head

About

Nashvillle-based Rod Picott is a masterful songwriter and soulful singer who carries with him as fine a suitcase of songs as you'll find anywhere. Slaid Cleaves, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Fred Eaglesmith have recorded Rod Picott songs. A former construction worker from rural New England who hung up his tools when he released his debut CD in 2000, Picott has released a run of nine beautifully crafted CDs over the last 18 years and has earned a reputation as a humourous and engaging, emotion fuelled performer. "Beautiful and heartbreaking songs-one of the best on the Americana and folk scene" (Slaid Cleaves), "Mesmerizing" (Rolling Stone), "Proves once again he's a ringmaster at turning misery into art" (Boston Globe). http://www.greennote.co.uk/production/rod-picott/ www.greennote.co.uk www.folkandhoney.co.uk/london/the-green-note-v12/
