Milo Liren Mckeand: Hundred at Barbican Centre Free

About

'Hundred' is a project, perhaps better described as an undertaking, consisting of one hundred individually hand-crafted mugs by ceramicist Milo Liren Mckeand. Her collection plays on themes of mass manufacture versus the handmade, with the pieces themselves challenging ideas of form and function. Milo turned to ceramics two years ago, seeking an outlet for her creativity to flourish. She is one of twelve members of Hackney's renowned Clay Collective, a studio dedicated to showcasing and celebrating ceramics as a contemporary craft. Hundred will be on display in the Barbican Shop from 23 April- 1 May.
