13:00 | Free with Museum admission In 1724 Handel's masterpiece Giulio Cesare was performed for the first time, and in 2018 at least three different opera companies will produce the work. In celebration Katharine Hogg, Librarian of the Gerald Coke Handel Collection, outlines the history of the opera and its performances from 1724 to the present, illustrating the talk with archive items from the Collection.
