A programme of new works for solo voice with mixed ensemble. This concert showcases a variety of approaches to songwriting from the Academy's third-year undergraduate composers, with settings of texts varied in theme, content and language, with instrumental forces ranging from a single player to large ensemble with live electronics.
Initiated by composition student Isabella Gellis, many of the varied instrumentations and poetic and literary themes relate to her piece, La lune ne garde aucune rancune, which is a setting of TS Eliot's Rhapsody on a Windy Night, from which the event's title is quoted.
