With Benjamin Britten as one of its most illustrious past pupils, Gresham's has a history and reputation for quality music making and has recently build a multi-million pound new music school. Gresham's Schola Cantorum, the schools elite chamber choir, is joined by the National Youth Choir Fellowship, conducted by Music Director John Bowley.
The EUCO has forged a worldwide reputation as a European cultural ambassador, playing in 73 countries, prestigious concert halls from Cairo to Caracas, Lima to Leeds etc. and the best of Europe's festivals. Under its vivacious Director, Hans-Peter Hofmann, it will be joined by BBC Young Musician of the Year Concerto Finalist, Benjamin Goldscheider, who has been appearing regularly as a soloist with EUCO.
The programme includes one of Haydn's rarely heard choral gems, the "Little Organ Mass" alongside Mozart's 4th Horn Concerto, his Litaniae Lauretanae K.109 and his first great symphony, No.29 in A major K.201.
