One of Norway's most sought after ensembles, the Engegard Quartet perform string quartets by Haydn and Bartok, and an all-Norwegian second half featuring a selection of folk songs. Free entry for under-26s, courtesy of the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust. Arvid Engegard (violin) Alex Robson (violin) Juliet Jopling (viola) Jan Clemens Carlsen (cello) Haydn | Quartet in D minor Op. 76/2 Bartok | Quartet No. 4 Sz. 91 Svendsen | Romance Norwegian Folk Songs to include: "En smuk aftensang" from Kvaerfjord, North Norway A Yoik Suite arranged by Sigmund Lillebjerka Estrellas, a Finnish Tango *Pre-concert recital with Ashok Klouda (cello) in the Main Hall, 5:30pm Continuing the series he began in 2017, cellist Ashok Klouda explores the masterpieces which inspired him to take up the cello in the first place: J. S. Bach's Suites for Solo Cello and sets them alongside new works written for him by Natalie Klouda.
