Whyte Horses will be performing tracks from their debut album 'Pop or Not', as well as showcasing brand new material and cover versions of obscure world oddities, alongside special guests that include La Roux, members of The Go! Team and Melanie Pain, with more to be announced. The Whyte Horses Experience is a multimedia journey through film and music, featuring a mixture of collages that take in avant-garde cinema and childhood nostalgia with faint echoes of The Velvet Underground's Exploding Plastic Inevitable whilst offering a sly wink to the Tropicalia movement of late 1960s Brazil. The Royal Festival Hall experience will be the Whyte Horses Experience's second ever London live date, following their hugely successful show at the Barbican in May 2017. Whyte Horses debut album 'Pop or Not' (2016) was described by the NME as a "blissful, dreamy psychedelia that sounds both vintage and innovatively fresh." The record gathered momentum through the year, with fans from Lauren Laverne (who invited them in to record a 6 Music session), through to Noel Gallagher ("A great record"). The album's singles 'Snowfalls' and 'Promise I Do' were added to BBC 6 Music's A and B playlists respectively, with the former being streamed over 240,000 times to date on Spotify alone. All culminating in 'Pop or Not' winning the accolade of 'Album Of The Year' from Piccadilly Records. 'Pop or Not' was also re-recorded in its entirety with the children from St Bartholomew's School Choir on vocals, recorded at the historic RAK Studios in London. The 17 children aged 6 to 11 added a sense of pure unadulterated joy and their own fresh interpretation of this psychedelic pop album, and were undoubtedly a highlight of the Barbican show, May 2017, where they performed live alongside the Whyte Horses Experience.
