Encounter Spanish-born Daniel Canogar’s large-scale projection that helps us imagine overcoming the obstacles in our lives. Asalto London reimagines one of London's iconic structures, Westminster City Hall (viewed from Wilcox Place), using part public intervention and part video installation to create the sense of local residents appearing to slowly “climb” up the walls, eventually reaching the top.
Canogar specialises in photography and video, creating new media installations, photo-murals and site-specific public art projects. His interests lie in themes related to electronic waste, visual excess and the archaeology of new media.
With additional support from the Embassy of Spain in the United Kingdom.
Treat yourself to afternoon tea at St Ermin’s Hotel or The Grosvenor, or enjoy Scandinavian-French dishes at Aster on Victoria Street. Afterwards, make sure to explore the other Lumiere London installations in the area.
The programme may be subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond the event organiser's control.
Lumiere London is a free festival produced by Artichoke - a small charity with big ideas. Artichoke creates art for the enjoyment and wellbeing of millions of people. Your donations enable them to help keep their events free and support their work around the UK.
