When Peyvand Khorsandi's parents applied for British citizenship in 1989, their cheque bounced. After graduating from a disused barn in Wales that was given university status in the early Nineties, Peyvand (pronounced 'Bob') ended up working in a laundrette. He got into journalism to change the world but ended up working at the Daily Mail. He would love grandchildren but does not want to have children. But does any of that matter - do any of our plans matter - in the context of a world where the usual monkey business has gone somewhat ape. As he road-tests material for his Edinburgh 2018 show, Peyvand will be joined by his sister Shappi Khorsandi.
