Non- Binary Trans Actor Ed Zephyr stars as Donna in 'To Finally Feel' A new play looking at how young transgender people come out to their parents and partners premieres at The Lion and Unicorn Theatre in Kentish Town next month. The play , written by 21 year old poet and playwright Georgie de Suys, plots the dilemma of a young male to female trans person trying to come to terms with her gender dysphoria. The cast includes the non binary trans actor Ed Zephyr as Donna. The play is directed by Declan McLaughlin. The show was inspired by a family friend of Georgie's to try to explain their feelings about their own body and identity to her family and girlfriend, says Georgie, a recent graduate from East15 drama school. The play has been supported by BBC TV actor Rebecca Root from BBC2 Boy meets Girl, who will be chairing a Q&A session at the first show on October 12 to raise the issue of writing and casting trans characters. The show has been produced by trans actress and writer Simona Continente of TransEssex Theatre Project and Theatre Writers Workshop, with support from Arts Council England and Southend Borough Council 125 fund. After the London dates, the show will move on to Southend Clifftown Theatre on Oct 14.
