Steppes Travel Second Annual 'Beyond' Festival Royal Geographical Society, London, Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2017 Steppes Travel intensifies its battle against plastic pollution at the 'Beyond' Festival, with a lineup of some of the world's most influential conservationists. Following the success of last year's inaugural 'Beyond' travel festival, Steppes Travel is delighted to invite you to 2017's event. Bringing together luminaries on the topic of conservation, this year's festival will highlight the plight of the world's oceans in the face of plastic pollution. Steppes Travel will launch their #REFUSETOUSE campaign with the support of conservationists who work on the front lines of protecting our planet. The two-day event will see speakers ranging from Dr Sylvia Earle, a Library of Congress 'Living Legend', to Jo Ruxton, producer of 'A Plastic Ocean' and Hanli Prinsloo, founder of the I AM WATER foundation. All will discuss the impact that our 21st century lifestyle has on the world's oceans. Championing the cause of land-based wildlife will be Saba Douglas Hamilton, campaigner for the Save the Elephants Foundation, Dr Amy Dickman, founder of Tanzania's Carnivore Project and co-creator of the Global Cheetah Plan, as well as Springwatch presenter and passionate wildlife advocate Chris Packham. Together with a range of modern-day explorers with astonishing stories, the speakers are sure to offer a new perspective on the incredible planet we all share.
