THE SKYLARKS: The Skylarks are a jumping, live-wire, rocking act which takes the road less travelled - from early 50's jump blues - thru to the genesis of the Rock'n'Roll explosion! Soul, rockabilly and trash pop. The music of 1960's New York, London, Texas, Chicago and Detroit. And even touches on covers of retro-Queen Imelda May. The watchwords are excitement, melody and dance-action! The band is composed of a strange brew of talented and experienced musicians from many different backgrounds. Credits include: Janan Kubba (Lead vocals) is a successful actress, model and singer who has become a qualified music therapist! She made a splash in her starring role in Roy Orbison musical 'Only the Lonely' - which later toured as 'The Roy Orbison Story'. Chris Chesney (Guitar and vocals) has played on tour in UK and Europe backing Ben E. King, Percy Sledge, Eddie Floyd, Dorothy Moore, Vanesse Williams, The Flirtations (Motown)- and at various stages with Freddie Mercury, Billy Idol, The Pistol and the Queen (Memphis) Twink (Pretty Things) and many other notables. Andy Dummett (Sax) - Ben E. King, Percy Sledge, Eddie Floyd, Dorothy Moore, Vaneese Williams - also the Memphis Horns, Martha Reeves (of Vandellas fame), Leon Ware (Marvin Gaye's writer), etc. Dave Moore (Keyboards) - Has worked with: No Dice, Bo Diddley, Dick Heckstall-Smith (Colosseum, etc.), Main-squeeze, Pete Brown (Cream lyricist). Paul Gordon White (Drums) - Paul is a busy session musician and has recorded with artists such as Ray Davies (The Kinks), Ben Waters (The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry), Elliott Randall (Steely Dan), and many more. Paul Baker (Bass and backing vocals) - Royal College of Music, London Philharmonic. THE SOULD IMMIGRANTS: Fresh from their successful stint at London's first 2017 funk weekender curated by Adrian Gibson ( who was seriously blown away stating their 'big impressive sound' now a powerhouse funky as hell trio hailing from South London,The Soul Immigrants are fine purveyors of energetic Deep Funk (&beyond!)
