Ute Lemper in concert with her newest musical creation - a brand new song cycle based on Paulo Coelho's novel Manuscript Found in Accra. An inspirational journey through both the Middle Eastern and Western landscapes of music and song, and the old books of Wisdom and Beauty.

Words by world renowned author Paulo Coelho (The Alchemist).

Cinematic design by Oscar winner Volker Schloendorff (The Tin Drum).

With six musicians on exotic middle eastern guitars and percussion, bass, bandoneon, piano, shepard flutes and saxophones, Ute has created a song cycle that transforms the beautiful words by Paulo Coelho into an extraordinary experience of literature in music.

Thoughtful, most touching reflections on life are put into gorgeous melodies and cinematic arrangements, all wrapped into an incredible landscape of old ruins in North Africa. Volker Schloendorff imagined this music inside 24 hours of a magical scenery.

The nine chapters are: Beauty, Solitude, Success, Fire, the Word and the Virtue, Movement, Sex, Change and Love.
