In celebration of the Blade Runner 2049 film release a week later, OUTLAND SYNTHWAVE EVENTS hosts it's inaugural Synthwave | Outrun | Retro 80s | Sci-fi party extravaganza at The Grand in London on Friday 29 September 2017 - 7pm to 2am. Watch LA pulp thriller DRIVE, the best cult film of the decade followed by international live Synthwave DJ's and bands - so put on your power glove, your favourite Outrun or sci-fi outfit and dance to the best synthwave soundtrack afterwards with everything from Kavinsky to College and Electric Youth, Desire and Cliff Martinez. There will be retro shopping and band merchandise to keep you busy while you sip on the various retro cocktails on offer at the largest venue hosting such an event to date. Playing live is Eindhoven's TIMECOP1983, London synthwave legend 80sSTALLONE, synthpop songstress NINA as well as retro cool British music producer SUNGLASSES KID. If that's not enough, Strasbourg's NEON LINES bring their 5-piece dreamwave synthpop sound to an evening that won't be forgotten for good reason. Clapham Junction Station is right opposite the venue and it's the busiest train station in the SW so you'll have no problem getting there. Last train to Waterloo is at 01.00am or if you prefer to stay to the end, just catch the 35 or 37 bus straight to Clapham Common and transfer to the 24hr Northern Line to get back to Central/NW London. The safety of guests is of paramount importance to us, and an increased search regime will be in place for the event. In order to allow easy access, and cause minimal delays, we would like to discourage all guests from bringing bags to the event, and no luggage or large electronic devices will be permitted into the venue, unless arranged prior with the organizers.
