The London African Gospel Choir: Graceland at The Jazz Cafe

We're delighted to say that Graceland with The London African Gospel Choir on 1st March has sold out in record time! Due to this phenomenal demand, we've added a second date on Wednesday 4th March. Thirty years after Paul Simon released Graceland, The London African Gospel choir, backed by live musicians, will perform his album live from start to finish. After coming across a bootleg cassette of South African township music, Simon travelled to Johannesburg and spent two weeks recording with South African musicians. That session formed the basis of Paul Simon's most commercially successful album, which effortlessly blends pop, rock, zydeco and mbaqanga. The London African Gospel Choir's re-imagining will take us from smash synth driven "You Can Call Me Al" to haunting acapella Zulu folk song "Homeless" and everything in between. The London African Gospel Choir is a collective of African singers, musicians and dancers who focus on African gospel music. They have performed to great acclaim with the likes of Emeli Sande, Mumford and Sons and, Annie Lennox, recorded with Idris Elba, Johnny Legend and others and have headlined at venues such as the O2 Arena.

Adult Ticket: From £15.00 (€16.85) per ticket
