About

Watch Cirque du Soleil’s dazzling show, Amaluna, as it returns to the Royal Albert Hall following its 2016 success.

With a cast made up almost exclusively of female performers, the show puts women and their voice at the centre of the story, in a spectacle of awesome acrobatics, elegant aerial acts and breathtaking staging.

Inspired by Greek and Norse mythology, as well as Mozart’s The Magic Flute and Shakespeare’s The Tempest, the magnificent production tells the story of Queen Prospera and her daughter on the mysterious island of Amaluna. As the queen creates a storm after her daughter's coming-of-age ceremony, a rite that celebrates femininity, renewal and balance, a group of young men are washed up on the island. A romance ensues between Prospera’s daughter and one of the young suitors, but their love story is met by trials and setbacks which will test the young couple’s trust and affection.
