This was my work local when I was in the area. As is typical of City pubs, very busy for a couple of hours from 5:30, but they have plenty of bar staff.

Bitter pretty well kept and some variety - they usually have Landlord.

Food typical pub food - nothing special, but also not gastropub expensive.

Outside area has a few benches but the alleyway means it is rarely in the sun. Continua

We found this spot after walking around St. Paul's Cathedral.

This was a great little spot to catch a pint and a light lunch. We ended up splitting the following:

fried fish sandwich

lentil pie

The sandwich was very delicate with a light batter which I truly appreciated. The lentil pie was also very good and hearty.

Service was friendly and the place just seemed very comfortable and inviting. Continua

Fantastic hidden gem of a pub, but the highlight of our visit was the extremely friendly and helpful service by the barkeep. The food was on point too, and the drinks were the usual staples. Continua

Sought this tavern out since it might be family. They said they get a lot of people with that name stopping in. In a very quaint alley behind St. Paul's. Getting there with all the holiday lights was exceptional. Got there a bit early so not busy. Great interior with the family history on the wall The lager was on point. Burger too well done for my taste, but the Mac and cheese was great.... Continua
