Originally located on the first floor of the French House pub in Soho, Polpetto’s popularity meant it soon outgrew the premises. Now the new venue on Berwick Street has tables for 60 in a room filled with rustic wood and a stunning tiled ceiling.
Designed for sharing, the menu is full of delightful small plates inspired by Venetian cichetti with delicious morsels of meat, fish and fresh vegetables.
Be sure to try some of the pizzetti – think mini pizzas topped with grown-up ingredients such as prosciutto and rocket or shrimp and capers. You’ll want to save room for desert with blood orange polenta cake and semifreddo with honeycomb to indulge in.

Oh my gosh. You guys. Polpetto is so good. Here's why:
1) the food is absolutely delicious. This is pretty important with any restaurant. The portions are small (but not too small- very good for sharing) so it's tapas style and they bring them out as they are ready. My favourite was the octopus skewers- we ordered a second one because they were so good. Juicy flavourful octopus with a decent... Continua
We randomly walked past this incredibly cute restaurant, and decided to give it a try on our anniversary! The ambience is certainly 5* that's if you're into the cozy with a hint of trendy vibe. The food was 5* too with very reasonable prices. We ordered the warm duck salad, kale salad, octopus skewers, prosciutto pizza, salmon tartare and all were fantastic. I'd especially recommend the duck... Continua
Solid Venetian style small plates with a relaxed vibe and reasonable pricing. Totally get why this spot got a Michelin bib gourmand this year. Sat at the bar and ordered a glass of the montepulciano. Loved that it was served in a small water glass and was basically overflowing!
Ordered the burrata with pickled squash and arugula, which winded up being a bit larger than I thought but no... Continua
My friend and I ate and drank here last night. We got the £5 drinks as part of the happy hour (4-6pm). The Cynar Gin Fizz was ace- the alcohol blend was subtle and strong- and she enjoyed her Negronis. We got the beetroot aracini which looks like a red energy ball and tastes like corn. I couldn't detect the mozzarella inside but my friend could. Either way it was dense but yet crumbly upon... Continua
When I found this Italian restaurant , I was very excited to try most of the tapas plates. Below you can find details about the dishes I ordered.
Anchovies bruschetta - Crazy salt, the only thing I can taste is salt
Meatballs - Dry and not at all seasoned
Pizza with Prosciutto- Again no flavor other than prosciutto
Chicken salad with rocket: No taste, even salt and pepper was not in it.... Continua
