One of Londons best kept secrets, The Hoop & Grapes has been my local away from my local, for the past 6 months or so. My love affair with the place, started by circumstance, blossomed through incredible service, a fantastic friendly atmosphere and some of the best memories of the past half a year.

Decent old fashioned English pub. Great location if you need a break from the bustle (and prices at Borough Market) Guest ales and a good selection of bottles beers, ales and ciders where available on my visit. What a great traditional pub. Just up the road from Blackfriars station, this deceivingly large pub has three floors (including a function room) and 2 large outdoor areas.

It serves a variety of beers including craft beers and has a good wine selection. Their food menu is extensive - we didn't have anything from the menu but I can tell you that its traditional British food and the burgers... En savoir plus

It's a pub. And it looks, feels, smells like one. The massive asset is the back garden. And there ALWAYS are hot guys around. Go figure. I've ever only had ciders there so cannot comment on the other delicacies. But the cider is good and well priced. En savoir plus
