There are some sections with stairs only (no lifts) which is a hassle with luggages.

We had to carry the luggages by hand up the stairs. Decided to take the airport shuttle van for departure to save the hassle of carrying luggages. En savoir plus

Lambeth North, on the Bakerloo Line. Another of the stations that looks like a storefront. There are two lifts (that smell of pee) and an interesting spiral staircase to get from the street level down to the platforms.

It's the closest station to the Imperial War Museum, only two blocks away. Automated ticket machines and Oyster readers, the station is in Zone 1. En savoir plus

Its the Tube Station after Waterloo on the Bakerloo line. For those in any kind of relatively fit shape, take the stairs. There are not that many-- 4 sets of 17 on a spiral staircase. It'll get you down about as fast, if not faster than waiting for the elevators. En savoir plus
