Where the Piccadilly Line (between Covent Garden and Russell Square) meets the Central Line (between Tottenham Court Road and Chancery Lane), you'll find this rather deep Underground station. I've used this particular London Underground station on quite a few occasions as it's near a variety of places and people that I know ... a pub called The Ship Tavern, a restaurant called My Old Dutch Pancake House, a CS weekly event at The Square Pig and a couple of friend's offices.
You've got both the Central and Piccadilly lines located here deep under the city center.

In general, the tube is narrow, old and crowded but cheap. You get what you pay for. I was confused by taking the fast- moving escalator and then realizing I still had 1-2 flights of stairs to exit the station. Why not build more escalators? Well organised station that can handle lots of passengers. I visited while Tottenham Court station was closed for renovations and this station coped well with the additional traffic. As with all London tube stations they look old and dirty... What to expect if you handle so many customers. En savoir plus
The station is always kept very clean and there is always a member of staff around to help. It can get busy but connecting two main tube lines, you would expect this. Though the interchange does get a bit too windy and cold which is quite unpleasant. En savoir plus
