Mansion House is a London Underground station in the City of London which takes its name from the nearby Mansion House (although Bank station is actually closer to it). It opened in 1871 as the eastern terminus of the Metropolitan District Railway. Today, Mansion House is served by the Circle and District lines. Handy for City workers. The Friday evening service to Whitstable and the Kentish coast is cool. That's all I've used it for, but it didn't seem as overwhelming and chaotic as other stations in London. En savoir plus

Mansion House opened in the 1870's and is now a station on the Circle and District line between Temple (normally Blackfriars, but it's closed) and Cannon Street. Like all Circle line stations, it is in travelcard zone one.

Well I love the tube part of this station. I've never before walked into a tube station between 5 and 6 and found it fairly empty with barely anyone in the platform. If that is what it is usually like thenexcellent.

So I'm glad I've finally figured out where this station is (I've been trying to work out where it was for ages!).
