A grandes rasgos

Being the next door neighbour to the Lyceum Theatre makes this a popular pre-show stop for anybody taking in the latest production. As long as you’ve paid the bill five minutes before curtains up, you’ll make it to your seat in time!

But it's more than a thespians watering hole, this Covent Garden pub is ideal for a filling meal with plenty of British classics on the menu.

Pricey drinks right on a busy corner, but fun place to hang. Was with a large group from work that hung out here pretty much nightly. Got into some good conversations with the bartender one night about different beers and such. They do close the outside down around 11pm and kick everyone out at midnight during the week, so keep that in mind, but nice place to grab a pint! Más información

I'm not a huge fan of the typical mass touristy pubs in London but I felt this one was pretty solid.

The building and interior were unique and the service was very good. Finally a London restaurant that earned its 'optional' service charge.

I had fish and chips and it was delicious even with the high standards I hold English venues to.

My dinner partner in crime had some great pot pie... Más información

We had just arrived in London & wanted to go to an authentic English pub. Our preference being, one popular with the locals, not just tourists. The Wellington was recommended by our travel host at our hotel. This pub did not disappoint. It is right across the street from Waterloo Station, and 2 blocks from the "London Eye". It was a little early for dinner for the locals, mostly frequented by... Más información

Mostly disappointing.

We were quickly seated, but after that the server took a very long time to come to the table, and that took because I had to call her. The service was not good at all. We had to call her repeatedly for filling water, the check, etc.

Now the food. I ordered something called the amber ale steak and mushroom pie. This was quite good, basically the concept is quite similar... Más información

We were seated rather quickly at the worst table in the place. The waiter that took our order left and another delivered our baked cheese. Apparently they gave our dinner order to another table. After waiting over an hour we had to ask for the check because we were tired of waiting. 20 minutes later our food showed up. They took 20% off the bill which wasn't enough. I will never get the...
