A grandes rasgos

In a cosy first floor setting overlooking the wrought-iron splendour of Leadenhall Market, Luc's Brasserie is a welcoming Gallic haunt in the heart of slick east London. Full-flavoured French brasserie dishes make up a self-assured menu, with daily specials and an interesting wine list to boot. There's a friendly yet efficient buzz to the atmosphere which suits both time-pressed lunch hours and relaxing evenings.

Luc's a City restaurant with City prices, but the food is good and it's a short walk from the office, so it's was my usual for lunch with friends or clients. Also since it's enclosed in Leadenhall Market you are less affected any inclement weather. After lunch, stop by the New Moon pub for a cleansing ale. Más información

Not for everyone, but I think Luc's is one of those restaurants that make you feel like you're in the City. Classic French food, made well, with City prices. It is easy to overlook since it is upstairs in Ledenhall Market, but definitely worth a visit. Get a seat at a window so you can watch all the market goers. Have a glass of wine and enjoy the delicious food and attentive staff. Más información

I had the chicken escalope (not the breaded variety), which came with very skinny chips (not the healthy variety) & spattering of greens & garlic. It was exactly what I was looking for. Dessert was ok though to be honest I was full from the main & didn't need to be... Más información

My wife and I went to Luc's Brasserie for Valentine's Day this year and found the atmosphere classy, warm, and not too hectic or crowded. The waitstaff were attentive but not imposing - they were eager to engage, but held their distance unless needed. We had two appetizers, the Gratinee a l'Oignon and the Camembert, and they were both fantastic. For mains, my Toulouse Sausage was delicious.... Más información
