Oxfam Music used to be a must visit kind of a place, but since they got rid of their "3 promo CDs for 99p" bay, the shop has lost a little of its magic. I used to love rummaging through that bay and seeking out little bargains or trying out new artists without feeling like I am gambling too much money.

They still do cheap CDs but only albums which start from as little as 99p. At the back they... Más información

This shop is a bit of a treasure-trove: it has lots of hifi components, depending on what's donated, and I always enjoy a quick visit for this, and to browse the DVDs.

The equipment is apparently all tested, and has a month's warranty. But unfortunately I've been unlucky with everything I've bought there. A mini hifi system had an occasional niggling problem which, within six months, became... Más información

The Ealing branch of the Oxfam Music and Audio charity shops isn't large. If you're a DJ looking for some old, so-uncool-its-cool-again vinyl to throw in the mix, have a look. Otherwise it's hundreds of VHS tapes, some dubious CDs, and some TV, computer (PowerMac, anyone?) and turntable components that you can have for a couple of tenners.
