Is April a good time to visit London?

With the spring weather well underway, April is one of the best times to visit London.

Experience the city teeming with beautiful blooms in gardens, take a walk in London’s parks, or visit nature reserves to spot wildlife this month.

If you're visiting during the Easter holidays, there are plenty of exciting events happening across the city along with seasonal takeovers at top attractions.

What is the weather like in London in April?

April often gets a reputation for being one of London's slightly wetter months thanks to the age-old phrase 'April showers'. But despite a little rainfall and a few cloudy spells, there will be plenty of warmer days and sunshine as you explore the city. For average seasonal temperatures and rainfall, see the London Weather page.

Even if you do get caught in a shower or two there are many indoor attractions you can enjoy while waiting for the rain to pass.

You may find that the early mornings and late evenings are a little colder, especially once the sun goes down, but generally, you can expect moderate temperatures throughout the month. In true Brit fashion, pack plenty of layers, a light coat and an umbrella and you'll be covered for every eventuality.
