The Boathouse

Unwelcoming, rude, will never go back.

Wifi is poor, went in to do a bit of holiday research and the first stumbling block and mission impossible was please may we have two coffees? To which we got a gormless look of confusion and despair.

Forget about service... And don't even get me started on the shezlong... What's the point in having it if you don't want me to 'style out' on it?

C'mon... Mehr erfahren

In fairness I would give this place a 3.5*. My boyfriend and I had walked past this place on a walk along the Thames on a sunny day a few weeks ago. Knowing that there were a few pubs in this "plaza" area, we decided to come back yesterday for a pint of cider and a spot of lunch. We opted for the Boathouse because the, food menu sounded good and we spotted a roof terrace and let's be honest,... Mehr erfahren

My B&B owners highly recommended the place. It had some good points and some bad points. The setting is nice. There's lots of outdoor seating with good views of the river. The decor is super trendy (teal, octopuses painted on the ceiling, etc) but not in a bad way. The bartender I ordered from was friendly, I liked my cider, and my fish pie was tasty. But. The fish pie (which is topped... Mehr erfahren

I agree with the general Qype consensus on this pub.

The location is great and sitting on the balcony on a nice sunny day is fantastic.

The food however is just ok, not bad just not wow. So with it the food just being ok the prices are slightly inflated. I.e. the food really should be £7/£8 rather than £12. Sure it's a slight difference but it's 50% than they really should be charging.

If it... Mehr erfahren

Such a great location by the Thames and a great place to go for an afternoon drink in the summertime. I haven't been to this place in a long time I went a few weekends ago and when the place isn't very busy, it feels a bit on the grimy side. It was nice we were able to get real nice comfy seats but it took such a long time to get drinks. Bless the bartender since she was rather new but it... Mehr erfahren
