Because I'm a Londoner

A lady stands in front of a shopfront with a takeaway coffee cup and food wrapped in a brown paper bag, she's smiling as a man walks past in the foreground. A logo worded "Because I'm a Londoner" is overlaid on the image, inside a speech bubble.

Rediscover your local neighbourhood after lockdown and share what you love about being a Londoner.

As restrictions begin to ease and the capital emerges from lockdown, it’s time to show some love for the incredible places that make up your neighbourhood and safely explore your local patch. Because I’m a Londoner shines a spotlight on London’s local areas and businesses.

So, put on some comfy shoes and stroll or cycle around your neighbourhood: revisit old hangouts as they reopen and discover new favourites. Make sure to share your stories as you rediscover your neighbourhood using the #BecauseImALondoner hashtag on social media!

Whether grabbing a cuppa from the coffee shop around the corner, treating yourself to something from that deli or takeaway you’ve always meant to pop in to, or hunting for treasures at the local market, keeping it local helps to support your community during the “new normal”.

Just remember to follow the latest guidelines on social distancing and act responsibly when out and about.
