The W hotel is hosting a fashion show tonight. My room overlooks the entrance. They are playing such loud music in the entrance way that I can't hear my TV, let alone sleep. The fashion show concludes at 11pm, but I was informed the music will continue until 1:30am to create a party atmosphere on the street and attract people to the bar. Stopped by the W hotel bar on a Saturday night for a few drinks... And honestly we had a great time... There seemed to be a good amount of people and the drinks are tasty and a but pricey but not unexpected... The deejay was playing a good mix of music that seemed to appeal to the crowd... If you don't have prior reservations and come in a group larger than 4; do not expect to find seating.....more
They have a disco club, lounge, and restaurant.
The crowd seems diverse enough, but the bouncers in the lobby can be extra selective as the sun goes down.
It seems as though tourists and locals come out to the W, even on a Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Probably one of the most underwhelming hotel bars I've been to.
There's essentially no view, the windows have big shutters over them and the bars only on the first floor.
Staff are actually pretty inattentive and it can take an age to get another drink or even the bill.
There's a fair amount of space and some cool design features but you can probably find nicer bars where the drinks are...more
