After staying next door at the Richmond Hill Hotel for a week on business, I decided to book a few days at the Richmond Gate as it was a bit cheaper and it was now coming out of my own pocket. I should have stayed at the Richmond Hill! Richmond Gate is pleasant enough. The place does miss some of the little things that the finer hotels have. Robes, slippers etc, but it is a solid place for business travel. The biggest drawback. It is quite out of the way.

Richmond is kind of out of the way relative to...more

An elegant hotel situated next to the 2,800 acre Royal Richmond Park, the Richmond Gate Hotel offers 68 beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms with good amenities, including free wifi. Ask for one of the bedrooms with air conditioning, as the hotel can get a little stuffy in warm weather.

Their Gates on the Park Restaurant has a 2 AA rosette rating and offers English cuisine 'with a...more
