The Royal Horseguards

About

For more than 100 years, The Royal Horseguards has graced the banks of the Thames with its elegant, imposing presence. Its architectural heritage has earned it Grade I listed status, and made it one of London’s most iconic buildings.

Following an extensive refurbishment the hotel’s 280 bedrooms have been transformed into state-of-the-art luxury accommodation confirming its place among the capital’s most luxurious and desirable hotels, as the latest addition to the Guoman collection.

The Royal Horseguards is a stone's throw from the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, and overlooks the River Thames and the London Eye. It’s within easy reach of Buckingham Palace, Chinatown and the West End theatres and shops.

The hotel also boasts an executive lounge, a gym, a terrace and the AA Rosette award winning One Twenty One Two restaurant. Car parking is available locally at an additional charge.

The spectacularly ornate One Whitehall Place, one of London’s most prestigious conference and banqueting venues, adjoins the hotel.

First time visiting London and we got a package from Costco travel. We went for our anniversary and the hotel manager greeted us with chocolates and champagne in our room! We got upgraded to a better room as well. Great location, gorgeous hotel, heated bathroom floors with an amazing view. We can't wait to come back to London and stay with them again. Makes the long 10-11 hour flight all worth it!more

The location is unbeatable. If you are willing to walk 5-30 minutes, you can get to almost every major London landmark and tourist attraction. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. One of the members traveling in our party uses a wheelchair and the bellmen (one named Jamie in particular) were tremendously helpful in assisting him up two stairs to get to the elevators. The buffet...more

Magnificent!! I arrived later than my husband and they greeted me with Champagne while I waited for his return. They had great attention to detail in the rooms and the bed was the best I have ever slept in in my life.

I had a few maintenance issues that I addressed with them, like the shower leaking, but overall I was more than impressed with the accommodations.

The breakfast was phenomenal....more

I searched high and low for the perfect hotel in London for an early March stay. I'll say it: I'm picky. My wish-list: Not too expensive, but not the least expensive either (no hostels), central location, attentive staff, great solid breakfast to start the day, etc. In came TRH, perfectly central, as central as you could get in London. Whitehall! And a few minutes from Enbankment tube (which I...more

This hotel is incredible. From customer service to the quality of the room, my expectations were exceeded at every turn. When I arrived in London my baggage was delayed and I was without my items for the first two days. The Royal Horseguards went above and beyond by calling the airline and airport to keep track of my bag and supplied me with all the toiletries I was missing. They...more
