Minus half a star for the disappointing breakfast selection, but otherwise a wonderful hotel in the Shard(!).
+ Room: Very modern with a killer view, floor to ceiling window, quite spacious and tastefully decorated. Lots of light (also automatic shades) and great use of space (there's even an office area hidden in the corner). Bonus point for a copy of Lost Horizon for bed time reading.
My wife and I stayed for several nights last summer, in a regular room overlooking the Thames. From the moment we walked in, we were treated exceptionally well, with the kind of service the Shangri-La brand is known for. Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting London... Location is very nice walking distance to the tower bridge and of course the amazing view from the room!!! Very friendly staff and great housekeeping service.more
The elevator should announce 'TĪNG GŎNG' after the 26 seconds it will take you to get from the ground to the 35th floor lobby ... I almost felt like I was back in Singapore on seeing the decor and the beautiful Asian staff who greeted me at check-in.
