Hendon Hall
Overview
Hendon Hall has always been a leading player on the London scene. A strong, bold, enchanting place. Once home to David Garrick, the 18th century actor, the house has a long history of dazzling parties and theatrical soirees, it’s always welcomed a diverse and cosmopolitan crowd in a beautiful, classical setting.
Picture arriving in the evening. Glimpse through the windows inside the imposing portico. Candles flicker on the mantelpiece and a fire crackles in the gate.
The people who look after you behave like old friends, always genuinely pleased to see you. As you check in, a passing waiter offers you your favourite drink. A friendly face takes you to your room and makes sure you have everything you need.
It’s the small touches that make a stay at Hendon Hall special. The tasteful, but characterful décor. The nightcap on the bedside table that welcomes you. The cosseting and slumberful bed. The right kind of pillow. The crisp sheets, fluffy towels and the ‘Want to use’ toiletries.
In the dining room, enjoy the tunes from our record player as you order from our inspiring menu. Made from quality local produce, our modern English cuisine lets you experience how food used to taste. Fine food, prepared with imagination and originality and complemented by an extensive choice of the finest wines from the four corners of the world.
Its about theatre you see. The team has a twinkle in the eye, it matches the flickering candles, whose flames move this way and that as the team float by delivering great food, based on brilliant local ingredients. Classics, confidently presented at their simple best, warm yet lively hospitality sitting pretty alongside the splendour of a bold, enchanting manor house.
