A tube station inconveniently in the middle of several busy streets. You have to wait for the little green man to let you get to the station. Which can be frustrating if your in a hurry.

There is a couple of coffee shops and a restaurant in its round structure. Most of the ships look a little run down because they've been established there for a while.

I'm a bit biased towards this station because it was the closest to the hotel I was staying at during my time in London.

My wife and I have always felt safe walking to and from this location at all times of the day.

Because it is more of a smaller station, it is not as hectic as some of the bigger stations such as Paddington, Oxford, etc.

This station services the Circle, Hammersmith/City, and Metro lines. It isn't overly busy and doesn't get a lot of bustle surging through it, so you don't have to worry about getting shoved onto the tracks by crazy commuters.

Opened in 1863 as part of the first Underground Railway, Great Portland Street tube station shows some of its history, which isn't to say that it isn't a perfectly modern Tube station. The exposed brick work probably dates back 150 years to the original opening.
