Quite a long escalator, but not as much of a maze as some of the other stations. On looking at the other reviews, I learned that the long escalator is actually "the longest in Europe" (according to Siobhan K.) ... not surprised that it's in the top, but the tallest? That's news to me!

I quite like Angel tube station, that may sound strange, but some tube stations are quite far from the shops, and this one is right on the high street! It's great. They always have some sort of quirky sign on the white board as you enter the gates and they have some weird sculpture thing too (I'll take a photo next time).

The escalator doesnt seem that long! Angel is a nice tube station, clean and not too crowded (considering it is in zone 1). I like the daily words of wisdom/inspiration they scrawl on the announcement board.more
I think most people have said it all about this station!
Famous for the longest escalator in Europe, it's also nice and clean, has nice wide platforms and always has interesting and talented buskers playing/singing there!
It is usually busy but the crowd flows well enough, even at peak times (I think the wide platforms help).

I really enjoy this tube station. But of course, I love a good escalator ride.
Much more superior to it's elevator cousin, the escalator ride makes you feel like you are ascending into heaven, on stairs that move for you (how posh), riding off to your destination. No push of a button, no closing doors, just take a step and you're off.
And hot damn is this one long escalator.
