I really like this station! It's bright, clean, easy to navigate round and has plenty of retail, food and coffee outlets to while away any time waiting for a train. I wish I used it more actually.
Oh, and it also houses Plum and Spilt Milk, which is a wonderful restaurant with a very cool tiny bar upstairs.more
It was excellent and unexpected when we found out at Gatwick Airport train station that we could get a train direct to St Pancras from the airport - result!
It was milling rain when we arrived at St Pancras, but we were able to avoid going outside too much by taking the underground walkways from St Pancras to Kings Cross station. Then it was only a few mins walking in the rain to our hotel....more
So King's Cross Station has a lot of good things going for it. For this foreigner, the best compliment I can give is that I could find my way from Point A to Point B just by following signs without any trouble. But here is tons of stuff to do there and places to eat and places to go. A great hub, but there's just so much.more
I had to come to Kings Cross to take the Eurostar for Paris. It is a huge station from where a lot of lines go across London and to other destinations like Gatwick airport and such. I was excited (Harry potter fan in the house) since I wanted to take a picture of Station 9 3/4.
