Generally I hate King's Cross because I am always about to miss a train. Be it commuter, far away or Eurostar. You are big and you are crowded. You are filled with people trying to get to somewhere or get from somewhere so they're all pushy, mean, in a hurry and not looking where they are going. You are filled with entrances and exits, none well designed so you enter a labyrinthine as soon as you take the stairs. this place is HUGE! prepare for lots of walking for transfers or getting from train to tube, and vice versa. lines to get tickets or top off your oyster card can get quite long
platform 9 3/4 ... its not with the trains -_-;. its in its own little area about 100 ft away.. the area with the long line of people (oh hah!). photo op!more
Every Harry Potter fan knows that this is where Harry takes the Hogwarts Express. My hotel with a hole in the wall room is situated on the same block as this train station. Needless to say, I was excited.
