Bhs (British Home Stores) is a large department store which caters for all the family selling a wide range of items including clothes, soft furnishings and accessories.
Nothing amazing here, but they do have Dorothy Perkins/Wallis/Evans/Burton in store. And that's sometimes nice. BHS is the littlest of the Oxford Street department stores and, on a good day, there are little treasures to be found.more
I normally rush into their cafe before college or during lunch for a quick pick me up. The food is perfectly edible and not too expensive and their staff is generally friendly. Word of warning, you won't get the speedy service you'd expect from Pret or Starbucks or any of the chains. So, leave at least 5 minutes for your order to be ready.

BHS' flagship store on Oxford street allows one to peruse nearly all of their range. From lingerie to dress suits to Christmas decorations (when the time is right!), everything is available. I've found the staff here are a bit more helpful than at other larger department stores and seem to have a bit more time for you. The store itself is massive, don't get lost!more
I have high praise for this branch for BHS. The place is huge and while it is easy to get lost, it is also rather easy to find a staff member to help you find exactly what you are looking for.
Of course, their famous inexpensive Christmas shop here is just huge, though this year I could swear it is slightly smaller than in previous years.
