I was going to purchase a pair of Grenson Balmoral boots from this shoe store.

But the sales assistant that I was dealing quite unhelpful and totally off-hand.

I asked him if he has heard of Crockett & Jones shoemakers, and his reply was, No, why? Should I have heard of them? this all goes to show that

Amazing selection of any shoe you can imagine...from comfort to hiking to fashion - all while still being well-made and durable for city walking.

A great place to go and get some vegan shoes. Ok they're pretty ugly but if you're opposed to wearing leather (and i have huge admiration for anyone with morals that strong) then this is shop to get your kicks.

They also have other brands, lots of Birkenstock (which are rapidly becoming less German lesbian - didn't they used to be shoes you wouldn't be seen dead in?!).

I have always kept away from The Natural Shoe Store as I naively presumed that all eco/ethical shoes were ugly and overpriced. A trip to the recently refurbished Natural Shoe Store in their new premises on Neal Street, set me straight.

Good intentions. It's giving me good intentions, but then they ruin it with their self-congratulatory smugness. Not the staff you understand, just the feel of the place.
