Hmm, amazing what a second or third visit can do. When I first went he seemed on fine form, friendly, attentive and like a good resource for vintage bikes in London. In response to the previous review - no he doesn't do aluminum frame bikes - it's a bit like complaining you can't find tinned spam in an Italian delicatessen - he specialises in steel frame bikes.
It took a long time, but I was very very happy with the final results of a complete service and respray on my 1980's steel frame italian racing bike and would happily recommend Rob to anyone...more
I'm finding the first review completely unfair.
I bought a bicycle from this shop last summer and runs perfectly.
Everytime I had a problem or a repair need the guy was really helpful and friendly.
If he says that he doesn't deal with aluminium, is he worth such bad review?
By the way, I love the tomato vines he grows behind the window during the summer and the sleepy cat watching the passer...more
