Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park: Aquatics Centre
Overview
During the London 2012 Olympics, the Aquatics Centre hosted the swimming, diving, water polo, synchronised swimming, paralympic swimming and the swim leg of the modern pentathlon.
The centre boasts two 50m pools and a 25m diving pool.
Following a transformation, the venue will become a swimming centre for the local community with swimming lessons, family fun sessions, a crèche and café. It will also host a number of national and international sporting events.
The Aquatics Centre is expected to reopen in 2014.
