The menu at Nobu London draws heavily on Matsuhisa's classic Japanese training as a sushi chef in Tokyo, as well as on South American influences gained during his extensive travels. This innovative "new style" Japanese cuisine has become both his trademark and the foundation of his success.
With its own street entrance on Old Park Lane, the 150 cover restaurant includes a separate sushi bar and enjoys commanding views across Hyde Park through full-height windows. Designed with simple elegance by United Designers, the interiors make subtle use of light woods and natural stone to reflect the diverse influences of Nobu's cuisine, incorporating the purity and quality materials inherent of traditional Japanese design.

Before reviewing Nobu, I should note that I have been to Japan and eaten fresh sushi there.
That being said, Nobu is likely the best sushi you can have in London. Our party arrived on time and we were promptly seated. The staff checked our coats and took us to our table. The locale is very trendy with some great lighting centered just above the table. Great for taking photos of your food!...more
The first Nobu restaurant in London. Fairly typical Nobu style. Craving for Sushi or Omakase, the place to go! Good selection of sake, professional service, and a relaxing atmosphere! Love it!more

For such a posh neighbourhood a very mediocre dining experience.
I'd been wanting to go to Nobu London for a while as I had tried it in other cities like Miami and found it to be a fashionable and trendy dining experience. Not so in London's Nobu. As a matter of fact it was disappointing from soup to nuts, from hello to goodbye.
We arrived, having a confirmed reservation, and well, I found...more
This is one of those, I must try in my lifetime places based on reputation certainly. One of the only chances I could get was when I got the bento box on a special opentable deal with friends who had organised it recently.
Tuna Sashimi - Wonderful

Black Cod was good.
Raspberry cocktail came with deal and it was...more
